The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University(CMU) invites applications for full-time tenure-track faculty positions. The Department offers an interdisciplinary research and education program housed within a top-ranked College of Engineering. Innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and problem solving reflect the spirit of Carnegie Mellon. We look forward to you joining us to make an impact on the future of medicine through interdisciplinary engineering innovation. Our faculty members benefit from a strong university-wide collaborative culture, generous research support, modest teaching loads, outstanding students, and comprehensive benefits. Initiated in the 1960’s, Biomedical Engineering at CMU has a rich history of research, innovation, and clinical application. There are exceptional opportunities for interdisciplinary collaborations with other engineering departments; departments outside of engineering such as computer science, biology, neuroscience, machine learning, and robotics; and clinicians at major medical centers in greater Pittsburgh and the Mayo Clinic. To learn more about the department, please visit our website at https://www.cmu.edu/bme/.
