The Fletcher School, founded in 1933, is a graduate school of global affairs.  Its faculty are multi-disciplinary, with a focus on preparing tomorrow's leaders with a global perspective. Fletcher undertakes research and prepares master's and doctoral students to use the latest political, business, economic, and legal thinking, among others, to generate pragmatic policies or make executive decisions that will successfully shape global events. The Fletcher School seeks to hire an assistant professor in technology policy with a specialization in cyber and/or artificial intelligence policy who conducts research at the intersection of computer science, law, and international public policy. The candidate should have significant technical expertise in computing technologies and an ability to teach foundational technical material to policy and international affairs students in areas of Internet policy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and graduate student research supervision, and will engage in service to The Fletcher School as well as to the broader community. The Fletcher School's faculty is multi-disciplinary, with a focus on preparing tomorrow's leaders with a global perspective. The successful candidate should be prepared and eager to participate in this School-wide interdisciplinary dialogue. In addition to its flagship Master's in Law & Diplomacy (MALD), The Fletcher School also offers a Master in Global Affairs (MGA), a Master of International Business (MIB), a Master or Arts (MA), a Master of Laws in International Law (LLM), a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Public Policy (MS), a Master of Arts in Transatlantic Affairs (MATA), a Global Master of Arts Program (GMAP), a Master's in Global Business Administration (GBA), and PhDs in International Relations and Economics and Public Policy.  

Candidates must:

1. possess a law degree or doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, public policy, law, political science, economics, or related fields; 
2. demonstrate outstanding scholarship in the research and study of policy and law related to the Internet, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, or machine learning;
3. demonstrate the ability to teach in an interdisciplinary environment to graduate students with different backgrounds; 
4. possess experience in policymaking related to the Internet, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, or machine learning; and
5. demonstrate a capacity to develop and lead the realization of a strong research agenda in the field of technology policy.

The Fletcher School particularly seeks candidates with expertise in research, teaching, and development of curriculum to support the teaching and research of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence policy. Teaching experience at the graduate level is valued.

4.    Curriculum Vitae;

5.    List of at least three references (do not provide references until requested);

6.    Previous student teaching evaluations (if available);

7.    Diversity statement identifying how the applicant engages with issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion in their research, teaching, and service.
