Description and Responsibilities:
St. Paul’s School announces a search for the position of Computer Science teacher to begin duties in late August 2024. The primary responsibility of the teacher will be to teach computer science. After recently redesigning our computer science curriculum, we are seeking a person to teach courses in Arduino C and physical computing, combining computer science with the resources in our maker’s space. The teacher will teach several courses in computer science, with the possibility of also teaching robotics, engineering, and/or physics while serving as the point person for the computer science program. Preference will be given to candidates with experience running a computer science program at the secondary or college level. Likewise, robotics, engineering, physics experience, and familiarity with robotics competitions are valued.
In addition to teaching or administrative responsibilities, St. Paul’s School faculty are responsible for various activities typical of the boarding school environment, including advising, dormitory association, coaching, committee work, and other duties. St. Paul’s School is a completely residential, co-educational secondary school in Concord, NH, affiliated with the Episcopal Church and welcoming to all faiths. As part of a residential boarding school, the candidate must be interested in working and living with adolescents.

Job requirements and qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or Software Engineering, with a background in Robotics, Physics, Engineering, and/or Artificial Intelligence. A Master’s Degree with two or more years of experience leading a computer science curriculum is preferred. We are seeking someone with a lively interest in current pedagogy and project-based education.
Experience: Familiarity with programming in multiple languages. Preference for those who can teach Arduino C and Java. Comfort in using and supporting computer technology and engineering lab equipment.
