Seton Hall University (SHU) is hiring a tenure-track assistant professor of philosophy.
AOS in artificial intelligence. Though we invite applicants whose work focuses on artificial intelligence in relation to any major area of philosophy, strong preference will be given to those whose work fits squarely within the domain of logic, metaphysics, philosophy of language, or epistemology.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and teach undergraduate courses in area of expertise and teach courses in philosophy curricula; 3/3 teaching load.
Excellence in teaching and scholarship. Active scholarly agenda of publications and grant submissions, where appropriate, at the intersection of philosophy and artificial intelligence. Seton Hall is investing in applied computing and AI across the curricula, and we seek a collaborative faculty member who engage Philosophy with interdisciplinary work in AI and help expand student interest in Philosophy.
Service to the Department, College, and University.
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D in Philosophy prior to appointment.
Salary Grade:
FA01 - Faculty
Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt
