The Undergraduate Research Assistant, under general supervision, will work on the research projects in the Center of Excellence in Research and Education for Big Military Data Intelligence (CREDIT) in the Spring 2024 semester (1/16/2024-5/31/2024). The CREDIT center is targeting mission-critical big data analytics and platforms, it allows PVAMU to solve many challenging problems in big data analytics and artificial intelligence, and will help PVAMU to stay at the forefront of the AI revolution and lead the AI

Must be presently enrolled as an undergraduate ROTC student at Prairie View A&M University to be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Learn machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques.
• Perform research in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
• Assist faculty and staff on research projects.
• Assist with general office activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• Presently enrolled at Prairie View A&M University for at least nine (9) graduate or six (6) undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done.
• Must be in good academic standing (SAP) as demonstrated through your college; minimum 2.75 GPA
• For work eligibility during a summer term, a student must be enrolled for at least three (3) graduate or undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done or preregistered at least six (6) undergraduate semester hours or nine (9) graduate semester hours for the upcoming fall term.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Students in Electrical and Computer Engineering OR Computer Science degree paths preferred.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficient in Python programming

Other Requirements:

• Presently enrolled as an undergraduate ROTC student at Prairie View A&M University.
• The participation of the ROTC students must be approved by the ROTC commanding officer.
