Spring Arbor University is seeking an individual with teaching experience to help build our undergraduate Computer Science program.
POSITION DESCRIPTION The department of Computer Science within the School of Engineering at Spring Arbor University (SAU) invites applicants for a tenure-track position in the field of Computer Science. SAU offers bachelor’s degrees in computer information science (campus) and Cybersecurity (campus and online), as well as 3 graduate courses in Cybersecurity and Data. The computer science department recently revised its curriculum to focus on preparation for industry credentials within identified courses to enhance marketability. Individuals with credentials/experience in Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, or Artificial Intelligence are especially encouraged to apply.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Applicants must have a minimum of a master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related area, or a master’s degree plus 18 graduate hours in computer science or significant related professional experience; an earned Ph.D. is preferred. Other valuable experience includes a successful record of teaching (both face-to-face and online), computer science credentials, and mentoring. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about academic excellence and about preparing students to impact the world for Jesus Christ within the vocation of Computer Science.
