Detailed Job Description The Department of Computer Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology invites applications for Lecturer positions in computer science. Lecturers contribute to the academic mission of the Computer Science Department and will be responsible for course preparations, formal classroom and lab teaching, new lecture, and lab course development in the areas of introductory and core Computer Science. Lecturers will also be responsible for student mentoring and contributing to the advancement of the Department through service assignments. A Lecturer will engage in professional growth through activities such as further study, writing, lecturing, and active participation in professional societies. Department/College Description THE COLLEGE: The Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences prepares students to improve lives and change the world through computing; GCCIS is home to the departments of Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, School of Information, and the School of Interactive Games and Media. Required Minimum Qualifications
MS in Computer Science.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Teaching experience in computer science.
A strong commitment to undergraduate computer science education.
