Multiple Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in the Department of Information Systems, University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC)
The Department of Information Systems (IS) at UMBC invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate level starting August 2025. We welcome applications from candidates engaged in high-quality research including but not limited to areas such as AI, Data Science, Human-Centered Computing, Health Informatics, Software Engineering, and STEM Engineering Education. Applications from candidates whose research interests relate to the fields of Cybersecurity and Human Centered Computing are particularly encouraged. Candidates' research interests should complement and extend our current strengths.
We are particularly interested in receiving applications from individuals who are members of groups that historically have been under-represented in the professoriate, and individuals who are willing to contribute to the diversity mission of the university and the department. Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in a related field to the role(s) no later than August 2025. Salary ranges commensurate with experience.
Assistant Professor: Min. $121K to $141K
Associate Professor: Min. $138K to $161K
Other components of pay are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.
The above salary range represents the University?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
