We are seeking a passionate and tech-savvy Science Teacher with a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to join our team.
Job Description: As a Science Teacher with a focus on AI instruction, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous science lessons while incorporating AI tools and methodologies to enrich the educational experience. You will work closely with students to foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of scientific concepts. Additionally, you will collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement AI-driven educational projects and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instructional Excellence: Teach science courses (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics) to students in [grade levels], ensuring alignment with curriculum standards and incorporating AI tools where appropriate.
- AI Integration: Develop and implement AI-enhanced lesson plans and educational activities that leverage AI technologies to support learning objectives and student engagement.
- Technology Integration: Utilize AI tools to analyze student performance data, personalize learning experiences, and provide targeted support.
- Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in AI and educational technology, and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
- Collaboration: Work with other teachers, administrators, and technology specialists to integrate AI into various aspects of the curriculum and school activities.
- Student Support: Provide individualized support and feedback to students, helping them to develop both scientific knowledge and technological literacy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science Education, a related field, or equivalent experience. Master’s degree or additional qualifications in AI or Educational Technology is a plus.
- Valid teaching certification in Maryland.
- Proven experience teaching science in high school, with a strong track record of student achievement.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and their applications in education, including experience with AI-based educational tools and platforms.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students in both traditional and tech-enhanced learning environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with coding and programming languages relevant to AI (e.g., Python).
- Knowledge of data analysis and interpretation using AI tools.
- Prior experience integrating technology into classroom instruction.
