Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat acute medical conditions and minor injuries efficiently and effectively.

• Provide hands-on care in the following areas:
  • Minor Injury Clinic Services: fracture/dislocation care, splinting, laceration repair (including pediatric techniques), incision and drainage procedures, foreign body removal.

  • Eye Care: slit lamp exams, foreign body removal, corneal abrasions, tonometry.

  • ENT/Dental Care: peritonsillar/gingival abscess, basic dental fractures/avulsions.

  • Dermatologic/Nail Care: ingrown toenail/fingernail removal, subungual hematoma, paronychia.

  • Reproductive Health: STI exams, pregnancy care (spotting, pelvic exams, basic ultrasound fetal assessment, confirmation of IUP).

  • Evaluation of Stable but Concerning Symptoms ("Vertical 3s"): abdominal pain, chest pain, headache, dizziness, CVA symptoms outside acute intervention window.

  • Therapeutics & Procedures: first-dose IV antibiotics, IV fluids, IV/IM medications, breathing treatments, reasonable observation periods, and stabilization of vitals.

• Supervise and support APPs in all aspects of patient care.

• Provide compassionate, efficient care to ensure timely treatment and positive patient experience
