Position PurposePrimary responsibilities are to teach in the on campus and in-person undergraduate, prelicensure nursing program in theory, clinical, and lab settings.Instruct courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs.Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field, provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities.Contribute to curricular and programmatic assessment, evaluation, and continual refinement.Contribute to student growth and development including student advising.Support Minnesota State University Moorhead?s strategic priority of creating a campus community that is diverse, inclusive, globally aware, and just.To develop and implement curriculum within a team-teaching model of instruction for a nursing curriculum with emphasis on quality, safety, health, healing, holistic nursing, diversity, equity, and inclusionTo be considered for tenure, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate (IFO Article 22, section B):Ability to teach effectively and/or perform effectively in other current assignments,Scholarly or creative achievement or research, Evidence of continuing preparation and study,Contribution to student growth and development, Service to the university and community.Salary Range$64,963-$188,620 annuallyMinimum QualificationsMaster?s degree in nursingMust meet Higher Learning Commission [HLC] faculty credentialing guidelines [e.g., have 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline the faculty is teaching].Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching and experience with lesson, course, and curriculum developmentMinimum of three (3) years of nursing practice experienceEffective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skillsExperience in teaching/working with people from diverse backgrounds Current unencumbered RN licensePreferred QualificationDoctoral degree in Nursing or related fieldExperience in university teaching in baccalaureate or graduate nursingExperience in teaching nursing education online, hybrid, and on campus Experience in holistic health and healing principlesExperience developing and using student-centered, active, and experiential learning strategies, including using a variety of technology and platforms (i.e., ATI, D2L, Simulation, NGN, Teams, Zoom, Outlook, AI)Experience assessing student academic achievementExperience working with national accreditation and Boards of Nursing Current unencumbered RN license in MN and NDOther RequirementsThe successful candidate must be able to lawfully accept employment in the United States by the day employment begins.
