Position Summary:
The Department of Economics & Finance in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship at North Central College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Finance to begin August 1, 2026.

The duties in this role include:
- Provide instruction for both basic and upper-level courses in finance, including derivatives and financial institutions, as well as MBA or basic economics courses, if needed.
- Develop curricula for new finance elective courses in the candidate's research field.
- Mentor undergraduate students and engage students in research if possible.
- Pursue research activities in finance, including writing, dissemination, and presentation of research at national conferences.
Basic Qualifications:
Basic qualifications are required at the time of application.
- The successful candidate will have a terminal degree (Ph.D. or DBA) in Finance or Financial Economics. Candidates who are ABD and will complete their degree before the start date will also receive full consideration.
- Applicants must demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students, and ongoing scholarship that can be published in high quality journals.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications are not required qualifications for the position.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
- Progress toward (or completion of) CFA.
- Ability to teach AI, machine learning, and/or fintech.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and communities.
Salary Range:
The budgeted salary range for this position is: $90,000 to $115,000.
Only candidates already authorized to work in the U.S. will be considered. North Central College is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
