We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine and a passion for animal care. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, performing surgeries, and providing preventive care to ensure the well-being of our patients. As a Veterinarian, you will play a crucial role in educating pet owners about their animals' health needs and promoting responsible pet ownership.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status
Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and other health conditions
Perform surgical procedures as needed, ensuring the highest standards of care
Administer vaccinations and medications according to established protocols
Provide emergency care and critical care management for animals in need
Utilize veterinary terminology effectively when communicating with staff and clients
Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, documenting treatments and outcomes
Educate pet owners on proper animal husbandry, nutrition, and preventive care practices
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure quality patient care
Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine through continuous education
Skills
Veterinary critical care experience is highly desirable
Proficient in animal restraint techniques for safe handling during examinations and procedures
Extensive veterinary experience with a solid understanding of animal physiology and anatomy
Strong skills in animal handling to ensure comfort and safety for both animals and staff
Knowledge of veterinary terminology to facilitate effective communication within the clinic
Experience in animal care practices including grooming, catheterization, and general husbandry
Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to diagnostics is beneficial
Equine experience is a plus but not required as we are currently not treating large animals but would like to bring it back in the future.

Large space for expansion and to bring your own ideas. There are 7 exam rooms, a downstairs area with multiple large rooms that can be converted to anything you are passionate about like puppy training classes, or to bring back farm calls. There are runs with heated flooring as well as many kennels for seeing as many patients as you would like. While we are not currently seeing large animals due to lack of large animal doctors, there is a large garage for a farm truck and large animal stalls. There is no shortage of potential for your own ideas.
We are a small animal practice in Claremont, New Hampshire. We previously also saw large animal and have the capabilities to do so again if you were interested.
