The Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (IAD) at the University at Buffalo (UB) invites applications for two open-rank teaching faculty (lecturer) positions. We will consider candidates at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Teaching level in line with their experience and prior positions and offer competitive salaries. Successful candidates will have a passion for teaching and operate effectively in a team environment and a diverse community of students and faculty. The facultys primary duties are:

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in and a passion for teaching courses in machine learning, artificial intelligence, data-intensive computing, data mining, database fundamentals, and related data models and queries. Other duties may include industry internship and student project supervision, experiential learning and student excellence initiatives, accreditation objectives, diversity enhancement, program administration, and external educational grant support.

The IAD is the home of several graduate programs, i.e., a PhD program in Computational and Data-Enabled Sciences (CDES), an MS program in Engineering Science with Data Science focus (ESDS), an MS program in Engineering Science with Artificial Intelligence focus (ESAI), and an MPS program in Data Science Applications (DSA). IAD also conducts undergraduate courses and certificates in data science topics. IAD coordinates interdisciplinary research of computational sciences across various domains.
