Job Summary: Assists faculty in developing technology-enhanced courses using a variety of instructional technologies, researches and learns how to use new instructional technologies, and designs instructional solutions according to instructional needs. Participates in the design and delivery of faculty development programs to educate faculty in the use of a variety of instructional technologies. Provides Level 1 troubleshooting support for faculty and students who have issues using a variety of instructional technologies, and devises workarounds as needed.
Salary: Pay range $66,560 - $67,891 Internal Classification: Career Track - Professional; Job Level - 2
This is a remote flexible position that will allow an individual to regularly work both from home and the Point Loma campus.

Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Use instructional design principles, contribute to the design and development of learning materials with special regard to teaching traditional and adult students, teaching face-to-face, hybrid, and online classes, and using technology to maximize student learning outcomes.
Collaborate with faculty in the design and development technology-enhanced courses and teach them to use and incorporate instructional technologies as appropriate for their content
Work collaboratively with the Director of Instructional Technology and Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning to develop resource materials and provide campus-wide workshops and presentations to help faculty use educational technologies for teaching and learning in face-to-face courses, online and hybrid courses.
Offer systematic and continuous assistance to instructors in resolving technical issues with instructional tools, ensuring the reliability and uniformity of courses.
Deliver comprehensive training and support to faculty, staff, and students in utilizing the Learning Management System (LMS), introducing new methods and technologies, and addressing emerging course design issues.
Research and identify technology trends in the field.
Research and identify best practices in the field.
Collaborate and communicate with other support personnel in support of instructional technology.
This position primarily follows a Monday through Friday schedule, with occasional weekend availability as needed to support key objectives and peak times.
QUALIFICATIONS
A Master's degree in Instructional Technology, Educational Technology, Education, or a related area of study.
At least two years of instructional design, online teaching, or training experience preferred.
A working knowledge of Canvas is highly preferred.
Experience using AI technologies is preferred.
Proficient in Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite software and Zoom.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is primarily sedentary and requires sitting for extended periods of time.

Ability to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone.
Will also stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 10 pounds throughout the day.
