The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Oregon State University (OSU) seeks to fill multiple full-time (1.00 FTE), 9-month, tenure-track or tenured position, at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, in the areas of high-performance computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Appointment at the Assistant Professor rank is anticipated; however, appointment at a promoted rank may be considered depending upon the qualifications of the successful candidate.
The position will have a focus in high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI), and/or closely related areas that advance the university's strategic objectives. The appointment is anticipated to be at the rank of Assistant Professor, but rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor many be considered. Upon appointment to the faculty, rank will be determined commensurate with qualifications. The position expected to initiate new funded research as well as expand, complement, and collaborate with existing research programs in the School, the College of Engineering, and beyond
The position is expected to perform duties related to teaching, student advising, advancing appropriate research and other scholarly activities, and service activities. Typically requires PhD or terminal degree (Masters for some Extension positions and MLS for Library positions), demonstrated ability to teach in a classroom Extension, or other setting, and develop a research program in the academic discipline/unit.

Minimum/Required Qualifications for all ranks (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor):
PhD in Computer Science, or other related discipline prior to position start date.
Demonstrated ability or significant potential for effective teaching.
Demonstrated ability or significant potential for leading and collaborating in innovative research.
Demonstrated ability or significant potential for attracting the necessary funding to sustain a vigorous research program.
Proven oral and written communication skills.
A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
