GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our instructors/trainers are experienced educators with deep expertise in their subject matter and a strong commitment to helping small businesses integrate artificial intelligence into their operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, a thorough understanding of AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, etc.), and a strong emphasis on educating professionals and small business owners on both the benefits and responsible use of AI technology. CCAPE's clients and students trust our instructors to handle business-sensitive information and to foster a learning environment that encourages ethical AI practices. The position involves developing and delivering AI training programs which are contract-based and/or subject to enrollment.
This instructor position will develop, lead, and teach AI educational programs/workshops for the Center for Community and Professional Education (CCAPE) at Cape Cod Community College. The position involves developing curricula, providing classroom and/or virtual instruction, and supporting small businesses in leveraging AI for their benefit while ensuring the responsible use of these technologies. Courses may vary in length and schedule depending on need.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Develop and deliver classroom and/or virtual noncredit AI training sessions tailored to the specific needs of professionals and small businesses, focusing on tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, etc.
Participate in the department's efforts to assess, develop, and implement noncredit AI curriculum courses and programs.
Stay current on best practices, theories, and developments in the field of artificial intelligence and business applications.
Maintain and submit attendance, grades, student evaluations, and all other required documentation and reports per established procedures.
Ensure all training sessions are aligned with programmatic standards and institutional goals.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated expertise in Artificial Intelligence with relevant work experience in the field.
Experience in developing and delivering AI training programs or courses in a business, educational, or community setting (live stream, hybrid, and in person).
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
Commitment to promoting responsible and ethical use of AI technologies.
Ability to work flexible hours and manage multiple and competing priorities.
Knowledge of AI tools, platforms, and pedagogical practices related to AI education.
Ability to work and communicate cooperatively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field such as Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or Organizational Development.
Experience with virtual and in-person training delivery, including the use of online learning platforms and AI tools.
Strong facilitation skills with the ability to handle complex discussions related to AI use in business operations.
Experience working with small businesses or in a corporate training environment.
Familiarity with AI-related policies, ethics, and compliance requirements.

Additional Information:
COMPENSATION: $65/hour for instruction, dependent upon qualifications, teaching experience, and field experience. An additional one-time stipend is available for curriculum development. Part-time project-based, non-benefited, non-unit position.
