We are currently recruiting for a Manager Field Operations (MFO) to work in person at our headquarters located in Ottawa, ON.
What you will be doing…
The Manager Field Operations is responsible to the Chief Operations Officer for the management of Commissionaires contracts for service. The incumbent will provide leadership and management of employees assigned to and/or supporting these contracts.
The Manager Field Operations is responsible for identifying potential new clients and revenues and assisting in the negotiations of new and existing contracts and provides leadership to business units for continued growth.
Some of your responsibilities include…
Contract Management
Determine contract requirements in collaboration with the client, including; term, hours of coverage, positions, number of personnel, qualifications required of personnel
Conducts business development and marketing of security and special services
Recommend changes to plans, policies, procedures, budgets and systems to streamline operations, in order to maximize efficiencies and control costs
Ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of assigned contracts through effective delegation, monitoring and intervention
Personnel Management
Manage the effectiveness of assigned supervisors and employees by providing sound leadership, management, guidance and coaching
Actively participate in the staffing process; including interviews and selection through competitions and appointments
Conduct contract and personnel investigations and provide recommendations
Ensure complaints, problems and requests are effectively resolved in a timely manner
Quality Assurance and Health & Safety
Conduct operations in accordance with ISO objectives, Client Contracts, ESA, Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB), the Private Security and Investigative Act (PSIA) and client requirements
Prepare and submit ISO Non-Compliance Reports and Corrective Actions Report
Conduct periodic site visits to ensure client satisfaction and quality of services provided
Ensure health and safety (H&S) of contracts and ensure H&S related activities are completed
Participate in Health & Safety Leadership meetings as a management representative

Your must-haves:
Post-secondary Diploma in related field such as: Business Admin, Police Foundations, Operations Management or equivalent level of experience and/or education
Formal leadership/management training
10 years middle management experience with several number of direct reports
Experience in proposal development, client relations, contract management
Knowledge of total quality management systems, such as ISO
Knowledge of employment standards, labour relations, CNESST (Commission on Workplace Standards, Fairness, Health and Safety)
Physical Security Professional (PSP) OR CPP designation considered an asset
