The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering seeks outstanding applicants for tenure-track or tenured positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels. Individuals with exceptional promise for, or a proven record of research achievement who will excel in teaching undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply.
We welcome applicants with research activity centered in Data Science and/or Machine Learning as part of a broader strategic initiative in Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence across Engineering at Penn, described here (https://ideas.seas.upenn.edu/). Qualifications Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
At the Assistant Professor level, individuals should demonstrate excellent academic credentials and promise for impact in research in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. At the Associate and Full Professor ranks, a strong demonstrated track record of research excellence including successful competitive research funding and academic standing is expected.
A commitment to teaching should also be apparent including development of undergraduate and graduate courses, supervision of doctoral students, and academic advising of students at all levels.
