JOB SUMMARYThe Trauma Registrar, in collaboration with Trauma Program Leadership, identifies trauma registry patients, collects and accurately enters all required data elements, and assists with the timely reporting of the data to the Texas Department of State Health Services according to existing regulatory requirements.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLEIdentifies patients daily that meet National Trauma Databank Standard trauma registry inclusion criteria.Concurrently abstracts detailed clinical and administrative data from the medical record to meet hospital, accreditation, and regulatory agency requirements.
