Position Overview:
The Sr. Practice Innovation Manager will lead and oversee the technical operation of the firm’s global litigation support platforms and processes. This role will be critical in ensuring the delivery of high-quality litigation support technical services on a global level. This strategic role involves managing technology platforms, guiding the ongoing strategy and direction about tools and technology services in support of the Litigation department. This role includes budgetary and cost management responsibilities to support the profitability of the Litigation department and will set rates for cost allocation and chargeback on matters. The position will also be responsible for partnering with the Litigation department for exploring, evaluating, and deploying other cutting edge technology as required, and for ensuring adoption of such technologies across the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Management:
Develop and implement global strategies for operating litigation technology services.
Serve as a key advisor to senior management and Partners on litigation technologies and services, best practices, and vendor relations.
Develop strong working relationships across Litigation & Investigations, Corporate Finance Transactions, and Real Estate groups to promote the adoption of Litigation/Legal related technology and the firm’s work allocation program across each of the practices.
Technology and Process Optimization:
Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of Litigation technology solutions to provide cost effective and high performing platforms for the firm.
Ensure the continuous improvement of processes and technologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
Serve as Product Manager for defined Litigation related tools and services.
Promote the use of innovative tools and methodologies in areas such as digital forensics, ESI processing, document review, case management, legal research, drafting, and legal hold processes.
Support the investigation and adoption of AI within the Litigation department by identifying potential use cases, running pilots, and ensuring regulatory compliance of AI-based solutions.
Financial and Operational Oversight:
Manage the budget allocation, including forecasting, expense control, chargeback, and reporting of technology costs of operating litigation technology services to practice groups and/or clients.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service delivery, team performance, operational metrics, and financial health.
Client and Project Management:
Work closely with legal teams to support client needs, ensuring seamless integration of litigation technologies into broader legal strategies.
Create modern, effective, and standardized operational processes that give visibility and transparency.
Act as a senior point of contact for clients and internal teams on complex support matters related to litigation technology services.
Engage effectively with the Partnership and other key stakeholders to understand requirements and put in place plans to deliver effectively.
Training and Development:
Collaborate with Global Head of Learning and Development to develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of users of litigation tools and technology.
Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and technologies; ensure the team is well-informed and equipped to meet evolving challenges.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and firm-specific policies related to data management.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with litigation support processes and technologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in eDiscovery or litigation support, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
Strong understanding of eDiscovery technologies and processes, including digital forensics, data processing, and legal hold management.
Excellent financial and business acumen, with experience in budgeting, pricing strategies, and financial reporting.
Outstanding leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans and execute them effectively.
Experience working in a global organization and managing cross-border projects is highly desirable.

Pursuant to the Colorado, New York, and Washington, D.C. pay transparency laws, BCLP is posting a reasonable estimate of a compensation range for this position. At the time of posting, the estimated Colorado, New York, and Washington, D.C. range is $150,000 to $210,000. Actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to the level of relevant experience, skill sets, training, licensure and certifications, internal equity, market data, and other job related factors permitted by law. The range is based on a full-time work schedule. Additional compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus.
