Position description The Department of Criminology, Law and Society (CLS) at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in CLS. We seek to hire a new or recent PhD with methodological expertise in quantitative or mixed methodologies, and substantive expertise in criminal behavior or the study of the criminal legal system. We are particularly interested in candidates working in the following areas: research on (1) crime and legal systems outside of the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia and (2) behavior and regulation in the digital world of natural and artificial intelligences.
The appointment will be made at the Assistant Professor level. To ensure your application is given full consideration, files should be completed by October 4, 2024. The position will begin July 1, 2025 (teaching duties will begin Fall 2025).
