The Department of Management in the Coggin College of Business at the University of North Florida (UNF) invites applications for one full-time instructor position in Information Systems / Operations Management (IS/OM) beginning August 2025.
The primary requirements of this position include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in IS, OM, and Business Analytics subjects by the Department of Management. The selected candidate will show an excellent record in teaching and will provide service to the Department of Management, the Coggin College of Business, and the University of North Florida.
The selected candidate must be prepared to teach four courses per semester in Information Systems, Operations Management, Business Analytics, and other related fields in the Department of Management. The successful candidate is preferred to have a Ph.D. (or equivalent or DBA) in Information Systems, Management Science, Operations Research, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Statistics, or other closely related disciplines from an institution accredited by AACSB or a comparable accrediting body.
Preference will be given to candidates who meet the following requirements in addition to the required qualifications:
Previous teaching experience as an IS, OM, or Business Analytics instructor in an undergraduate or graduate business program from an institution accredited by AACSB or a comparable accrediting body.
Ability to inform curriculum and teach courses in Information Systems Management, Operations Management, and Business Analytics.
Prior experience in using programs such as Python, R, Tableau, or other emerging AI tools

The University of North Florida was first chartered in 1965. The campus was selected in 1969, construction began in 1971, and the University opened its doors to approximately 2,000 upper-level students in the fall of 1972. In 1973, UNF graduated its first class of 35 students. The University was quick to expand and was accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools in 1974. The school's mascot, Ozzie the Osprey, was adopted in November 1979. In 1984, UNF began admitting freshmen. UNF entered intercollegiate sports in 1983 as a member of the NAIA, later moving to NCAA Division II.
