The RAISE Initiative (Race, Inclusion, and Social Equity) of the Ohio State University (OSU) seeks to improve health equity through research contributing to an understanding and reduction of the impact of the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) on vulnerable and disenfranchised communities. We are committed to recruiting, retaining, developing, and advancing a cadre of SDOH-focused faculty, providing robust mentoring, and embedding them in interdisciplinary teams committed to narrowing social disparities impacting health equity.
