Position Description
The Naveen Jindal School of Management at The University Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) is seeking to recruit a non-tenure system Professor of Practice, at the Associate or Full Professor rank depending on experience. The successful candidate will serve as the director of the cohort and online MS programs in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence. Teaching responsibilities are expected to revolve primarily around graduate level courses in the cohort and online MS programs in Business Analytics. The typical teaching load for non-tenure track faculty is 8 courses in the academic year; this load will be reduced based on the extent of responsibilities assigned in the Program Director role. Separate from their teaching responsibilities, the program director is responsible for various program-related activities, including program management (developing innovative recruiting and orientation plans, tracking admissions, developing yield strategies to increase enrollment, reviewing applications and making admission recommendations, developing competitive market analyses, managing AACSB assessment, exit surveys, and preparing related reports, managing curriculum in consultation with faculty, updating academic catalogs, managing course scheduling, recruiting adjunct faculty to teach courses in the program), student services (conducting regular town hall/info sessions, measuring, tracking, and providing various program reports to the Dean's office), and other duties related to the design and management of program-related initiatives and projects.
The appointment commences in the fall 2024 or spring 2025 semester or when the position is filled.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience: A Master's degree with at least five years of experience in a field related to analytics and artificial intelligence. Appropriate industry experience is desirable. Candidates are expected to demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, engaging, and dynamic environment comprised of individuals with a range of backgrounds, skills, and perspectives. We are seeking candidates able to deliver high quality teaching using evidence-based practices to effectively engage students from a range of backgrounds and experiences.
Naveen Jindal School of Management
