\Research DescriptionThe University of Minnesota-Twin Cities invites applications for a post-doctoral fellow in the field of multi-messenger astronomy with Prof. Michael Coughlin. The appointment start date is September 1, 2024, with some flexibility. The appointment is for one year, with possibility of annual renewals up to 3 years. The research would focus on searches for gravitational waves with the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO), as well as optical counterparts with the Zwicky Transient Facility, a time-domain optical survey to study the transient night sky photometrically.
