The Climate-Smart Decision Support Systems Group in the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering at Michigan State University is recruiting a Research Associate. The ideal candidate, possessing a strong AI/ML background and lab management experience, will contribute to developing climate-smart decision support systems. Responsibilities include active participation in lab management, research publication, and collaboration on climate change impacts and emissions mitigation projects using AI/ML and systems modeling. Key Responsibilities:
Development of Climate-Smart Decision Support Systems:
Implement AI/ML methodologies for innovative climate-smart decision support systems.
Collaborate across disciplines to integrate advanced technologies into agricultural practices.

Conduct in-depth research on climate change impacts and emissions mitigation using AI/ML and systems modeling.

Required Degree
Doctorate
Minimum Requirements
Doctoral degree in Biosystems Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven expertise in AI/ML with a focus on applications in agriculture and climate science.
