We are seeking a research assistant to support the design and development of 'Mixed reality In-situ Welding', an ongoing Manufacturing Futures Initiative funded project. The project seeks to integrating AR, tinyML and generative AI to train skilled workers for future opportunities in creative arts and manufacturing.The team member will work with the faculty leads (Dina El-Zanfaly and Daragh Byrne) to develop an augmented reality prototype that integrates real time sensing and machine learning. The role will be for up to 25 hours per week.Core Responsibilities include:- Independent research and exploration of relevant topics.
