In partnership with Commonwealth Radiology Associates, the Department of Radiology at Tufts Medical Center and Tufts University School of Medicine seek an Academic Body Imager for a full-time faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The Body Imager will work with the Division Chief to support the clinical, education, and research missions of the section and the department as we seek to improve health and patient care throughout Boston and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The Abdominal Imaging division is a subspecialized, dynamic group that interprets abdominal/pelvic radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and MRI. The Abdominal Imager in this role will have dedicated academic time and the formal mentorship of highly-experienced radiologists.

• A  first-of-its-kind 3.0 Tesla MRI with ultrafast MR imaging informed by deep learning (AI) reconstructions, an additional 3.0 Tesla magnet, and a new 1.5 Tesla MR. 
• Two dual-source, dual-energy Siemens Force CT scanners.
• One Siemens AS 64 with an IR guidance package. 
• Eight new GE E10 ultrasound machines.

 

The ideal candidate will provide high-quality clinical service, actively teach residents, fellows, and medical students, and participate in quality improvement and/or value initiatives. Interests in research or scholarly interdepartmental collaborations are encouraged and supported by institutional resources, mentorship, and academic time. The academic appointment will be at a rank commensurate with training and experience.

 

• Candidates must hold an M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree
• Board eligibility/Board certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or AOBR.
• Candidates must have a medical license or be eligible in Massachusetts.
