General DescriptionThe Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Johns Hopkins University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at all levels and in all areas of biomechanical engineering. Intellectual areas of great interest include the intersection of biosensing and bioimaging with AI and machine learning, bioinstrumentation, mechanobiology from molecular to organismal scale, and applications of quantum mechanics in biology.The Department of Mechanical Engineering has 26 full-time tenured and tenure-track faculty members, 23 research and teaching faculty members, 300 undergraduates, 200 graduate students, and 65 postdocs.
